Rebecca Cobern Kates

My primary research areas include philosophy of emotions, cognitive science, and feminist philosophy of science. More specifically, I am interested in the role emotions have in knowledge acquisition, values, and decision-making, as well as the role cognitive and non-cognitive values play in the scientific method.

In my spare time, you can find me hiking, foraging for mushrooms, or fly fishing with my two kids.
