BA in Philosophy and Mathematics, Columbia University

Helena Rios researches the development of logic in the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, together with its relationship to the birth and rise of Modern Phenomenology and the Analytic-Continental divide. More broadly, she is also interested in how different mathematical systems and languages are developed and used in historical and contemporary Mathematics, investigating whether they are epistemologically secure and why.
