Corey Dethier

Wesleyan University, BA 2012
Tufts University, MA 2015

Corey Dethier first became interested in the history and philosophy of science while studying for his MA at Tufts. He now focuses on the epistemology and rationality of scientific practices, particularly on scientific argumentation and broader questions of how the empirical world can (and should) affect the choice and development of theories. He finds these questions particularly interesting in the context of climate science and biology, especially where they touch on ethical and social issues. In his off time, he enjoys running, baking, and playing with his cat, Indiana. He has occasionally been known to burst into song, and he tries to never be afraid to make a fool of himself.
