Selected Bibliography
Dr. Karbowski's research interests focus mainly upon the philosophy of science, ethics, epistemology, and metaphysics of Aristotle. His dissertation, The Method of Aristotle’s Inquiry into the Human Good in the Nicomachean Ethics, explored the intersection ofAristotle's thinking about ethics and philosophy of science. It argues, contrary to a long-standing orthodoxy, that Aristotle employs a version of the method that he endorses for theoretical sciences, suitably modified for practical investigations, in his inquiry into the human good in the Nicomachean Ethics.Joe isalso interested in various contemporary issues in epistemology and metaphysics.
