Events
Seventh Annual Midwest Philosophy of Mathematics Workshop
Purpose
The Midwest PhilMath Workshop is an informal meeting of philosophers of mathematics, logicians and interested others (including, we hope, plenty of students). Its aim is to provide an opportunity to discuss current works of interest to those working in the foundations of mathematics, broadly construed. It also seeks to develop interest in the foundations of mathematics as a field of study and research and to build a sense of community among its practitioners and students. To that end, the the Workshop focuses on the presentation and discussion of work that is in progressrather than on polished presentations. The latter are not forbidden or discouraged, of course, but the former are particularly encouraged.
Organizer
Mic Detlefsen
Dates
Saturday, November 11th and Sunday, November 12th, 2006 at the University of Notre Dame. On Saturday evening, attendees who choose to do so and who notify the conference director will be guests of the University for a conference dinner.
